Experiencing Problems with the NHS App?

We’re aware that some patients are currently experiencing problems when using the NHS App. We want to make it absolutely clear that:

  • Most patients still have full access to records, prescriptions and test results.
  • A small number may notice missing test results or older repeat medications that can’t be requested.
  • This is not caused by the practice. It’s a national issue due to NHS England’s systems.
  • This is temporary. NHS England’s team are actively working on a fix, and we are chasing them regularly to resolve it as quickly as possible.

What You Should Do

  • Use the official NHS App only, available from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
(you can also use the NHS Website to log in without the NHS APP).
  •  Remove other apps from your device such as Patient AccessEvergreen Life, or Patients Know Best. These are not supported by our practice and may give incorrect or outdated information.
  • If the NHS App tells you to ask us for a ‘Linkage Key’ – please ignore this message. It’s incorrect. We cannot provide one. Verification must be done through the NHS App once NHS England has fixed the issue.

Key Things to Know

  • Medications authorised more than 2 years ago may not appear in the app. You can still request them using the app, just add a note to your request.
  • Some test results may show without descriptions or be hidden behind a “Patients Know Best” section. Please check the separate “Test Results” area in the NHS App.

We completely understand how frustrating this is, and we share your frustration. Please be assured we are doing everything possible to escalate and resolve the issue with NHS England.

Please don’t contact the practice about these NHS App issues.

Thank you for your understanding while we await a national fix from NHS England.
